Avon Lake Early Bird Meet Info

Both Middle School and High School Cross Country teams will be racing at the Avon Lake Early Bird meet on Sat, August 30th.  The meet will take place at Lorain County Community College.

High School Runners:  Bus departs from High School at 8:30

Continue onto OH-10 W       

Exit onto OH-301 N/OH-57 N/US-20 E

Continue to follow OH-57 N

Turn right onto N Abbe Rd

LCCC will be on the right

OR

Take I-77 North         

Take exit 161B for I-490 toward I-490 W/I-71/Toledo E 55th St    

Keep left at the fork and merge onto I-490 W          

Continue onto I-90 W

Take exit 148 for OH-254 toward Avon/Sheffield   

Turn left onto Detroit Rd      

Turn right onto N Abbe Rd   

LCCC will be on the left

Early Bird Meet Information

The Blue Devils kick off the season with their first meet this Saturday with the Early Bird Invitational.  The meet is hosted by Berkshire and will take place at Kent State University-Geauga Campus.

Bus departs from IHS @ 6:30 AM

RACE TIMES:
8:30   Middle School Girls
9:00   Middle School Boys
9:30   High School Girls
10:00 High School Boys

Bring $5-10 for food...we will stop for fast food on the way home.
Approximate time of arrival back to IHS is 2:00.

480 East to Rt 422 East
Rt 422 East to Rt 44 Exit
Turn left/North on Rt 44 (Ravenna Road)
Follow Rt 44 North for about 5-6 miles.
Turn Right/East on Rt 87 (Kinsman Road)
Follow Rt 87 for about 3 miles to the Burton Square.
Burton Square has a one direction flow.  Go ¾ around the square, then turn right/north on N. Cheshire St, which becomes Claridon-Troy Rd. Kent State Geauga Branch will be on the right approx one mile from the square.  It is just beyond the Geauga County Fairgrounds.
