Middle School Tri Meet

Middle School will be racing at Orange High School for a tri meet against Orange and Kirtland.  Only Middle School is racing.  

Bus departs :  2:45

Race time:  Approximately 4:00  
**This is a low key meet....they won't start before 4, however they may move the start time back if teams need more time. They will decide at the meet if boys/girls run together or separate.  

We will return to Independence between 6:00-7:00 depending on actual start time and if it is 1 or 2 races.

Directions to Orange High School:  32000 Chagrin Blvd, Pepper Pike, OH 44124

Take exit 156 to merge onto I-480 E toward Youngstown         

Keep left to continue on Interstate 480N E, follow signs for Interstate 271 N/U.S. 422 N/Erie Pa/Warren           

Take the exit on the left onto I-271 N/US-422 W toward Harvard/Chagrin   

Take exit 29 for US-422 W/OH-87/Chagrin Blvd           

Turn right onto OH-87 E/Chagrin Blvd    

At the traffic circle, continue straight onto Chagrin Blvd

Destination will be on the right

***The Orange School District website says the middle school meet is being held at the Pepper Pike Learning Center which is just off to the left of their driveway entrance

Cardinal Meet Information

Bus departs at 7:40

10:00 Boys High School
10:35 Girls High School
11:10 Boys Middle School
11:35 Girls Middle School

The meet is held at Cardinal High School. Please see direction tab for directions.

They will have an awards ceremony after the conclusion of the Girls Middle School race.

Bring $ for snacks....Coach Kieser will be bringing sandwiches for after the meet.

KIM IS THE CHAMPION!

Congrats to Kim Rega as she won the Girls Race at Open Door.  The Middle school runners all ran great races.  Ryan Michota earned a medal for his 4th place finish and Joe Wisnewski just missed a medal as he was 6th.

The meet was not scored for Middle School but the girls had their eyes on the prize as you can see!

Open Door Meet Info

Middle School ONLY

Bus:  2:30  
You will be dismissed at 2:15 so you can get changed and to the bus on time.
Bus will be on the side of the high school where we meet for practice.

Race Time:  4:15  boys and girls race together

We should be back at approximately 6:00.

Boardman Meet Info

Both High School and Middle School will be racing at Boardman Spartan Invitational on Saturday.

Bus departs:  6:30 am

9:00 High School Boys
9:30  High School Girls
10:00 Middle School Boys
10:30 Middle School Girls

Bring $ for food...we will stop on the way home.

Directions are under the direction tab.  Look for Boardman High School.  The race takes place in between Boardman High School and Boardman Middle School.

The High School and Middle School Teams will be traveling to different meets this weekend.  Make sure you are at the correct location! Directions to both meets can be found under the direction tab above.

High School:
Tiffin Cross Country Carnival @ Hedges Boyer Park; Tiffin, Ohio
Bus departs at 6:50 am
Note:  Girls running OPEN race will be leaving before then with Coach Polman.

WINNING WEEKEND

On Saturday, both the Blue Devils Cross Country High School runners captured both the team and individual titles for boys and girls at the Avon Lake Early Bird Invitational.  Freshman Tyler Polman lead the boys as he captured the Boys Gold race title.  The boys defended their team title from last year.  On the girls side, Jen Wisnewski led the way as she won the Girls Gold race and helped the girls take the team title as well.  Way to go Blue Devils!!
